deep scratches are best to be resprayed. Other paint defects you maybe be able to buff out etc.

By the way, in his book *Hollywood Days, Hollywood Nights*, Ben Stein writes about sitting in a Santa Monica restaurant having a sandwich and cup of coffee and watching a punk-kid key his 928 then hop in a custom hot-rod and take off.

It's a risk we all take everytime we park the car. I always try to park it well away from other cars, mainly to stop other car owners opening their doors right into my side. I hate that. On the upside of the human race I often get people simply admiring the car and making comments like 'nice car'. Once had some one pull alongside roll down the window and take photos. There are some nice people left in the world.

Ben Stein? I love Ben Stein - I'll check that one out.

As for Mr. Rich ****** from Prague, you deserve to be keyed when you talk about "people on the breadline." In the US, "breadline" people are not the ones doing the keying - it's the punk asses.

It's that "let them eat cake" mentality that has overthrown how many European governments?

I feel your pain also but in a slightly different way. Washing my car I notice a dent in the left front fender. Vertical line, obviously a door was opened into it HARD enough to dent the fender. So you know what I'm thinking. So I keep washing the car moving towards the rear. Yup, you guessed it, another dent, same as in the front fender. So obviously at least two people in a four door car got out opening the doors hard enough to dent two sections on the car. The dents where just the right difference apart to indicate a four door vehicle.....Who does this typ of sh*t.... Looking into the "dent doctor" type of repair. Only problem is the one guy that has looked at it says he has to cut a hole to get at the dent in the rear....

It could be that minivan you cut off before you parked. They seem to get mad when that happens. No excuse for it though.

I never bring my Targa to the Malls - No Way ! Only to work and back, where I park on the exec floor all alone. People will always perform stupid acts, I am never surprised. Oh well, life goes on.

Sorry to hear about your car. If I caught someone doing that to my car I'm afraid I would end up in jail.
