Post Wheel spacers and alignment

How do you determine what size spacers you need? I have 18 inch sport classic II's and do you need to get a new alignment once you get them. Is this a diy upgrade? Thanks

Why do you need spacers?

Wheel spacers do not require re-alignment. The spacers are just held on by 2 screws on your wheel hubs. The size of your spacers (any spacers) will require longer wheel bolts. Porsche has a kit that will fit most wheels that is 5 mm with bolts. They also approved 17 mm on the rears (with longer bolts) for some wheels.

I don't think you need longer bolts with 3mm spacers. At least I hope not, I've been running with the stock bolts for half a year now. I needed the spacers to clear my front calipers.

I used to have the same wheels on my car with H&R coilovers and I used H$R 7 mm on the front and 15 mm on the rear. They are the perfect size (sorry, no recent pics).

any ideas on cost and where to get the spacers? Tirerack doesn't carry them any more.

Wheel Enhancement carries any spacer that you would need. The question is why are you considering spacers? Is it to get the wheel/tire further out to fill the wheel well?

Yes this is a purely cosmetic thing. I'm just trying to get the wheels and tires pushed further out.
