Post Need pics and advice

Does anyone have pictures of a 5 point harness installation in a 996 coupe or cab? I would like to see how much room is lost with the harness bar and belts installed.

Also, can anyone recommend the best harness bar and 5 points to purchase? I have spare sets of Momo and Team Tech 5 point harnesses, however they are probably too heavy duty for the 996 installation.

Unhappy

Give me a few months and I'll be able to help. I know that you need a harness bar or roll cage, which basically makes the rear seats useless. Brey Krause makes nice albeit very expensive stuff. I am sure there are plenty of other manufacturers of harness bars out there. I strongly recommend the harnesses if you plan to DE or auto X the car. Sorry, I could not be of more help.

Thumbs up

I saw that installation in the Turbo (with the sport seats ), and in a Carrera 4 (with the normal seats).
Maybe you can ask some pics in the 996 Turbo forum.

You will lost anyways, some space and acces in the back of the car. But in the security point of view and look you win!

Nothing is 'lost' w/Brey.....removal in about 20 minutes and all that remains is very rear lower (left-right bar)........I have 6 point Simpson system....all quick connect points, 30 minute install w/fire extinguisher etc.
