27, exactly 10 years after I was kicked out of a Porsche dealer show room. But not before I snatched a "new" at that time 911 brochure, which I kept all these years.
But once bitten by the "bug" I was ruined for life, nothing on the road will satisfy me like a 911!!!!
A little car history.
82 Chevy Monte carlo (Before the low rider days), 82 Celica GTS hatch back, 84 Celica GTS coupe, 82 Supra, 85 CRX, 86 MR-2, 90 Honda Accord, 88 MBZ 260E, 94 MBZ E320, 96 SL320, 96 993, 97 BMW 328is, 00 BMW 323ci, 99 996C4
All were purchased with my own blood and sweat except the stupid chevy.
All my life I have been slaving for my cars.......

25 exactly 3 years ago. Worked my *** off to buy a Gorgeous 99 c2 cab (Which I'm now selling in the classfieds-it's a freaking beauty), and just ordered my 2006 c2s cab. I worked up to buy these cars from zero, and paid cash for them, so the pride in ownership for me is truly exhilarating. I was in the porsche envy thread before this and wanted to comment. I'm one of the most humbled guys around that loves his wife and family more than anything. The second I was seen driving a p-car at 25, the jealousy amongst some long time friends came out. These are guys that knew me in my honda accord and ford taurus. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS SH_T. It's only a car, but unfortunately, some will just never learn what is important in life.

I was 25 when I purchased my first Porsche, a CPO 1999 C2 Cabriolet - Basalt Black!
Drove the heck out of it for 3 years and picked up my current 2004 40th Anniversary 996 about 18 months ago when I turned 29.

When I was 18 I bought a 14-year-old 356 for $500. I drove it as-is for about 6 months before the floorboards rusted right through and the driver's seat fell to the ground. Fortunately, the Super 90 engine bolted right into a 1961 Beetle that I picked up for a hundred bucks, and I had the coolest hotrod in my school.
Funny that a 14-year-old car doesn't seem too bad these days. But back then a car that old was ancient and worthless. I've owned a Porsche consistently now for 33 years.
"02 C2, driven daily - rain, snow or shine.

16 - that was umm - 19 years ago...
a 912 which i paid 4,000.00 for which was too much - the first time it rained the car floored (as in completely leaked from every seal - water would be 2" deep in the rear seat wells )
if anyone ever wants to talk about rust - i've got some stories (this was a FLA car, in FLa)
