Really strange problem !!!!!
Hi guys! i have a porsche 996 C2 1999 gone 70,000 miles , i had a strange problem! after long driving in traffic stop and go with a/c on, my car suddenly shut down i tried to restarted again and after little while its occur again even if i tried to drive in a highway. the next day the car is acts normally, could anyone tell why!?
Hot weather (a/c on) and stop and go traffic equals extra heat. It almost sounds like a problem more typical of years gone by. Vapour lock. Where's the fuel filter on these cars (stupid question but hey, I'm still new) with 70K on the clock and especially if it's before the pump (i.e on the suction side) I'd be wondering if it's been changed in the not to distant past. Trouble is, there are so many things that could cause such a symptom on any modern vehicle that it's very much a wag from waaaay out in left field.

If its a temp. issue, you might consider a 3rd radiator. This is supposed to drop engine temp 10-20 degrees. Loren has a DIY on it (do a seach), the part is available at www.carnewal.com for about $525.
My temp. were about 3/4 of the scale , i have the 3rd radiator coz its tiptronic trans.
but one question dose over fill of oil effect in my problem? and what i mean by overfill is that oil read on the digital indicator
