My friend is getting rid of his c4s and offered to get rid of the techart short shift to me for a very reasonable price. I referenced the part numbers from the 99-01 and from 02- and they list different part numbers. The 02- are the same for c4s/c2, however the 99-01 lists a different number. I seem to remember some complaints about getting it into reverse and hence maybe the new revision? My question of course is can I install it on my 99 c2 and will it work without modification? Here are the part numbers that I found off the cec website
It would seem to me from what I have been told that there are only really two different ones. The turbo one is different than the rest and then the other for the c2/c4/c4s. Help I need to know asap so I can go ahead with it or not. Thanks.

anyone else? I have heard conflicting things, namely that the c4s one is the same as the turbo, but I know that's not the case as they have different tranny's and was told that they can't be swapped from one to the other. Basically I just need to know if the new one will fit on my older car.
