wheel offset of e46 m3 same as 996?

Hi there, i am new to this board because i am a proud new owner of a 996.

I have some Hamann hm2's that came off of my e46 m3 and would like to know if they would fit on my 2002 996?

absolutely not.

the offset difference is a moot point seeing as the bolt pattern is totally different!

the bmw is 5x120...
