Squeaky clutch pedal?
My 996 C2 has an annoying squeaky noise when depressing the clutch. My service advisor suggested spraying WD-40, which I did liberally on all the movable parts I could see. I noticed the entire pedal seems to be made of plastic unlike the brake pedal, which seems to be made of aluminum. I'm wondering if what I'm hearing is actually the flexing of the plastic as I compress the pedal. If this is the case, do they make a aluminum pedal to replace the plastic one? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Find another service advisor/dealer. This one doesn't care about taking care of you. Sorry no suggestions other than that. Seemed to be a common problem with early 99's which I have, but I don't remember the solution, sorry. Mine never squeaked - just wore out at 39K.

I had that problem on my '99 c4 which my dealer fixed promptly be removing, lubricating, and reinstalling the clutch. I would run - not walk - away from a dealer who suggested you use W40 on the clutch yourself, rather than peforming the appropriate repair.
