Question 996 hardtop

My brother-in-law is looking for a black hard top for his 99-996 cab, it needs to be black. Any ideas would be appreiated.

Thanks

There are probably some used ones around ... check ebay, and the classified sections of the 996 forum site(s).

The best bet though is probably to call the local dealer parts department and do a casual inquiry basically saying that 'he has a cab, is thinking about getting a hard top, doesnt want to spend too much, do they have any 'used' ones in stock?' If they dont have a used one, this might open the door to a nice discount on a new one. I don't know if the 02/03 tops fit the 99/00/01, but if not, you should be able to get a really good deal.

If your local parts dept will spend the time (and give you a good deal), he should be able to locate one and hopefully you wont need to pay shipping!

Best of luck

Check the Fla dealers. I got the one for my older car at Brumos in Jacksonville.

Good luck.

Thx Mark and Roy, I'll pass on the info.

I think he found one on ebay, but the sellers got a bunch of bad feedback.

I got my hard top for my 2001 Cab from SunCoast Porsche about 4 months ago. Cost me $1K. They had 3 or 4 at the time.
