My JDF Fundraising Trip Across America
MY DRIVE ACROSS THE USA -- PENNIES FOR JDRF
Starting on April 18 and ending on May 6, 2002 I will be driving across the country, roundtrip 5,800 miles, to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I will be driving my Porsche 911, decorated in US Flag decals and corporate sponsor logos, solo across the country from Charlottesville, Virginia to Los Angeles, California, and back.
I am asking people to sponsor the trip and donate to JDRF (www.jdf.org) by donating a penny per mile (or $58). Other amounts of donation are possible too -- a penny per mile is just a suggested donation. 100% of the donated amount will be given to JDRF, and a receipt will be provided if requested.
You can donate in two ways:
1) You can pay with credit cards or checking accounts using PAYPAL.COM. If you're new to PayPal, use PenniesForJDF@aol.com and you'll get an extra $5, and so will JDRF! Here are other "suggested donation" amounts:
1 penny per mile = $58
2 pennies per mile = $116
3 pennies per mile = $174
4 pennies per mile = $232
5 pennies per mile = $290
1 penny per 2 miles = $29
1 penny per 10 miles = $5.80
