MMMM,MMMM Very Nice.
I thought that lapis blue was slightly lighter than that. Or is a light issue.

it's a lighter blue than I initially thought. When I ordered this, the dealer had a Lapis Targa in the showroom, along with alot of the other colors. It looked quite dark inside. But it actually has purplish hues in the right sunlight. I'm very very happy. And the light grey interior will be just right for the Texas heat.
The dealer gives 15% off parts for PCA membership...first thing monday is ordering the clear sidemarkers!

Congrats. Beautiful car!

Whenever your heart settles down to a normal beat, could you possiblity tell me the distance from the lowest point under the front of the car to level ground?

Unhappy

Very odd 2-tone paint job! <img src="graemlins/icon107.gif" border="0" alt="[icon107]" />

Sweet, congrats! A C4S went whizzing by me today and what caught my attention was the widebody...simply awesome.

suddenly I feel that my 996 Cab is inadequate.

<img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" /> Good one, Don.

Good looking car, Urbanski, despite the two tone, heh-heh. You gonna visit it everyday 'til monday? I like the way the silver name tag stands out from that simply gorgeous blue. I've thought of making mine black to stand out from the AS background, but decided against it. Heck, I know what my car is, and if anybody else wants to know, they can stare at it.

Arright, ohsixx. Waxed my car again today, and I actually got my tape measure out. Full tank of gas, nobody in the car, from the lower edge of the front spoiler lip to ground is 5 3/4". Might be a tad more, since I have drains in my garage floor and the lowest point is in the middle of each car bay and there is a slight rise to the walls. Hope that clears your driveway.

Sweet ride indeed. I am suprised that your rear "bumperettes" are black. I thought that all new cars had them painted body color. Is this just something that will go on top of the black ones later or will your car stay as it is?

There was a recent thread here about those bumperettes.
You guys know what? I don't mind them. I'm not going to fiddle with them.
First and only planned mod is the clear sidemarkers.

I have asked before, but no one seemed to know sure. So, once again, what does the S stand for?

"S" in C4S stands for a German word which I think means special or agressive or something like that. I believe the current 996 C4S is unique as it is one of the few Porsche "S" to not have an engine enhancement. It's got the upgraded suspension, AWD, turbo wheelbase and offset, etc.

Jim,

Don't want to dissapoint you, but the original 4S (993) and the later 2S also had standard engines but altered bodywork / mechanics.
