Cool little video of headlight mod

I know a lot of 996 drivers/owners don't much care for this mod...but I have to say..it looks damn good on a black P.....

Eventhough I just bought all upgrade parts to make the P look like a post '02 with turbo bumper....

But check out the movie (just 5secs) but on stills it just doesn't look right!

and Riad mine isn't as nice as yours YET, but I am working on it....love your rear bumper, which is my next mod...or maybe the sport exhausts!! Or.....it just never stops..I should have bought a 2002 and all would have been done already..this is just more fun! I think!

The link to the video is still not working. Either there is something wrong with the AVI file or your website is not configured correctly for the AVI MIME type.

Couldn't view it on my Mac, either.

I got it to work, you have to download a DivX codec.

Nicolaas,

What I really like about the 911's is that your rarely see two exactly alike. Most people put their own personal touches on, but never really go "Civic" with the mods.

I'm waiting until my car is out of warranty before I SC her.

Your car is really done riad..wide body...and the turbo/c4s front and rear and red calipers, the only thing you can change is the rims (but only if you are sick of them after a couple of years)
When I bought mine, there were a couple of things I wasn't happy about, like the calipers and the cheap plastic look inside ('99 models had graphite black/grey..whatever you call it) so I HAD to change it.....nad I never liked the 996 front (early models)..so now I found a good deal in the turbo front and just went for it...just found out that my wife arranged for it to get lowered tomorrow...very happy with that too!!
Next time I just spend the money upfront and buy a newer one! this was my first porsche in 10 years and I didn't know that I was going to like it this much!!!

My 2001 C4 had graphite grey interior with the shinny black buttons - really a bad choice by Porsche. The MY2002+ was much improved interior - at least Porsche listens to it's customers.

I would like to go lighter, nicer rims (take off some unsprung weight) and possibly a Supercharger so the cars a bit quicker, however, I don't track this car, and I don't push it to it's limits now it all depends on whether or not I have extra money burning a hole in my pocket.

I REALLY like the 19" rims on the 997 Turbo (although they are very Ferrari looking, not that that's a bad thing!) I just wonder if they are lighter.

Nick - instead or replacing the shiny buttons, you could spray them with a clear sealer that has a dull, matte finish.
