Default 996 facelift----> needs good bodyshop in LA area

Just bought fenders, bumper and light to upgrade my '99 996 to a ppost '02 996

I need a bodyshop that can paint the fenders and bumper (not a Porsche dealer, because they will ripp me a new one) and if anybody did this before (maybe replaced the part themselves and has pictures that would be great....might do everything but the paint job myself.....would be a great LONG weekend mod!!

actually I got the fenders, bumper and lights from a rennlist member! Voor 1400 bucks and a car collision repair place across the street from my studio charges me only 600-800 to replace the parts and paint them!! So for around 2K I am done...while I have seen quoted for 5K and up!

Call Venice Collision Experts in Venice.....Raj did my facelift...its more than just putting the parts on...did you get wiring harnesses for the lights? and there are a few things you need to do for fitment....If they know what they are doing, its a breeze and if not, it can be a nightmare.....I think the number is 310-202-1555.....$600-800 to paint and replace parts is WAY low.....I wouldnt trust that...they are repainting the front of your car for $600????? Is it Earl Scheib?

the work on BMW's all the time and the owner gave me a deal, because I have my photography studio right accross the street and he likes it when the girls get lost and knock on his doors!...it it cheap, but then again it is black paint!! They use factory paint and I have checked out their jobs..looked fine to me....
Yes they are repainting bumper, fenders, blending it into the doors and even repaint the hood!
I was expecting about 1400 but 800 or even 1000 is he needs to buy parts works for me. He going to take about 3 -4 days, which is fine with me.

About the extra parts....my P has litronics right now.....do I still need a wiring harness??
I need the front lip still. and one of the grills is missing.

So I have some work ahead of me...but looking at your car Newport........looks GREAT can't wait!

great...also check out my photo work Nicolaas.....my site is still being finished, but you'll get the idea....Yes wiring harnesses are still needed for the newer style lights...they connect differently than the old lights. Some places splice the wires and cut the old harness, which can be problematic down the road and lead to things like shorts...but a new harness that plugs to the lights and is a Porsche part is the way to go...I think it was liek 125 per light or something like that....I also di dthe Turbo rear bumper too....I think it looks great...next is the rims! here is my site, I'd love any feedback.....

Thanks I will get the wiring harness, because I don't like electrical problems..because they are very hard to track down, once they happen.

I love the turbo bumper! About your rims..I am not fond of Chrome om sportscars (love them on SUV's) but rims is very personal and they look good with your total package.

Checked out your site..looks pretty good..love you car portfolio! Did you shoot the carrera GT in studio?? I have shot a couple of cars for Strut car wear...and it is a B...to light out cars....you did the perfect job!

Is you studio in Newport Beach? I live close by in Huntington Beach, studio in Long beach
