The biggest difference between the 2 is that the TPC (Roots Blower) completely changes the power band of the engine making the Porsche no longer drive like a Porsche. Until you can get taller gears for 1st and 2nd, there is a limit to the lower end power you want in the 996 if you want to maintain the drivability the Porsche is known for. Even with the new 3rd radiator and cooler in the TPC, it delivers hotter intake temps than the EVO unit does. The EVO continues to pull stronger all the way to redline (like a traditional Porsche engine) whereas the TPC flatlines before then.

Carlos, we have to agree to disagree. I think it absolutely infers that their stuff may be better than evo's in general, and they probably do have a better understanding of racing setups re these cars. Alas, this is not a sc comparo thread.

Just for the record, TPC used to compete (very successfully) a standard 996C2 in Grand Am Cup. They have extensive knowledge on both the standard 996 and GT3 motor 996 cars.

IIRC, grand am cup engines are sealed and the ECUs cannot be touched so no ecu programming allowed.
