Post About Spoilers

I have read here if you add a fixed rear spoiler than it is necessary to also add a front spoiler. Something about keeping the front wheels on the ground or somthing like that.

So, here is my question: Is it okay to add the rear one and then wait a few months before putting the front one on?

Good question. What about when it's the new Carrerra spoiler, not the aero kit spoiler?
This one is smaller and nonadjustable. I'd guess it wouldn't have the downforce of the larger aero kit spoiler.

Remember most of the weight in our cars is in the rear. If you are going to add them one at a time it seems to me that it would be safer (though still not recommended) to put the front one on first. The rear weight bias of the car would have less of an impact with additional down force in the front whereas adding the rear first would make an already front light car lighter (at speed of course).

Since the both have to be painted why not buy one, wait buy the other and then paint and install them together?

While we are on the subject, I've read that the Coefficent of Friction for the C4S is significantly better than the CF for the TT. This has to do with the missing or shaved central portion of the front spoiler of the C4S. Compared to the TT, the C4S doesn't need as much downforce due to the lower HP/torque, so it benefits from the lower CF of the modified front spoiler. The TT, due to its brute force, just blasts through that CF to achieve it's performance specs.

I'll admit it's probably obsessive, but one of the questions I have is whether all thess wings and spoilers being added on to the C4S will actually degrade it's performance. Sure, it may look cool, but is it worth it? CF goes up, which it can't overpower since it doesn't have the TT power, and downforce goes up, which it doesn't really need.

What type of front/rear spoiler are you installing? Factory or Aftermarket?
I don't see a problem with putting on the rear spoiler first. With the US spec Porsche(softer, higher suspension setting) running at 120mph, is quite stable without any wing. And I doubt you you feel any difference after having the front spoiler installed unless you are a professional racer. Same thing for the rear spoiler unless you are going for top speed.
