where can I get my 996 6-speed manual transmission rebuilt?

Tough to do. Generally speaking you have to replace the whole thing. I've seen a couple of posts where people say they've had them rebuilt but only at 3rd party shops. Good luck.

A 996 tranny can be rebuilt. I can't remember who we had do mine but I know I shared a info a year or so ago. You should be able to do a search and fine it.

Check with the guys below. These companies make gears/LSDs, so they should know who can rebuild yours:

They each might even do it themselves if you ship the tranny to them. Would also be a good time to add an LSD, etc. Let us know what you find.
