Post Does everyone's sunroof sit flush with the car's roof?

I just got my new 996 c2 on saturday and it is an amazing car.. my only question is, is it normal for my sunroof to not be totally flush with the roof? the back of the sunroof seems a little lower than the front...
should I take it to the dealer? <img src="http://images3.fotki.com/v27/free/ceaa7/7/74280/290272/DSC00525-or.jpg" alt=" - " />

Yep. It needs to come forward more. There might be a "teaching procedure" like there is for the windows if the battery is disconnected. Anyone?

I think I posted this before:

Re-teaching the lifting/sliding roof drive

Teaching
1. With the ignitionswitched on, press the "lift" button and move the lifting/sliding roof drive to the "raised" limit position.
2. Press "lift" button again and keep depressed. After around 10 seconds, a complete cycle takes place from the "raised" limit position to the positions "lower - open - close".
3. Teaching of the characteristics has been completed after this process.

Note:
The "raise" button must not be released during the entire process. In the event of a restart, the lifting/sliding roof must always be moved to the raised limit position first.

4. If the lifting/sliding roof drive should move back in Item 1, then the closing force limitation function has responded (lifting/sliding force drive was taught). The "open" button must be re-taught in this case.

Teaching
1. Press the "open" button until the sliding roof stops. Then release the button. Press again until the lifting/sliding roof drive stops again. Then release the button.
2. Press "open" button again and keep depressed. The entire process takes place after approx. 10 seconds: "close - lift - lower - open - close".

I know at Watkins Glen the flaggers have a sign that says "Sunroof Open". I know that for a fact. I've seen that sign at Watkins Glen. Yes...I've seen that sign more then once at Watkins Glen. Me.... Yes, I do have a sun roof. Why do you ask?

On a side note, how fast is the sunroof supposed to be. Ours is very slow it seems (even slower than the 928s). Just wondering if slow sunroofs are the norm or the exception?

I'm sorry to hear about you having a sunroof. There are doctors that can help you with that problem.

Ever since a tornado touched down at a PCA de at Sebring last November, the corner workers have a new flag: yellow with a twister imprinted on it.

They also have a black brick in case you ignore the black flag 2 times.

HeHe,
Mike
