Found this for sale not too far from me...comments on price?
1999 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 2, arctic silver, non smoker, tiptronic S transmission, Zenon headlamps, full leather pkg, just had all four rims recoated & cleared, 20,000 miles, $51,000
Not if it is in US$. I would say take off about 6-8k. I think that re-sale on tip tend to be a little less than a standard transmission. But definately not $51,000. Remember it never hurts to throw a low ball offer out there. Do you have any idea how long it has been on the market? Is it private or dealership? Good Luck.

I agree with above, if that Canadian $ (~38k) great price go for it. If its USD, way too high. Remember, the car is off factory warranty. Also, unless there are other options you didn't list, its not that extensive options are driving up the price (like PSE, aero kit, etc)
I can tell you from personal experience that the Porsche used car market is a buyer's market. The whole performance/luxury car market is a buyer's market. That price is way too high for USD. If not convinced, come across the border and you'll find MY 2000 and 2001 in that price range.
Way too high. $38-40K. No options, why the wheel recoat? Low miles? It is hard to say what low miles are on a 996 as I do not think many of the motors have been rebuilt yet so it is hard to predict what low miles really are.
