Default Help locating a eal lower ball joint dust boot

I'm having a hell of a time finding a ball joint dust boot for the botton control arm for the rear of a 99 Boxster. It's the same part on a 996. The dealers and the after market and used parts guys want me to buy the entire lower control arm. I just can't make myself purchase a $ 400.00 control arm for a $ 4.00 part. I know that there must be many mangled control arms out there from crashes, and the dust boot just pops off with a srewdrive. I'd much rather spend $ 400.00 on something to enhanse to performance of the car, than to spend $ 400.00 to get a $ 4.00 part.

Does anyone know is this part is common with any of the audi of VW models?

Help - Steve
