Kfong, if you're just looking for something to store something in, I have an extra aftermarket portable holder made for Porsches that fits into the storage tray with the holder sticking out within handy reach. When you're not using it you can just pull it out. I'm moving and everything is packed away. Email me or let me know and I'll give you details in a couple of days. I think it cost 50 bucks.

kfong,
I have the porsche cup holder (the one right below the airvents). Not a big fan. They can't hold anything bigger than a soda can or small coffee cup. Also, any tall beverage, if it does actually fit, will be in danger of tipping out, since the holder itself is not very deep.
Yeah, I haven't had anything spill in a hot corner yet, but I have the comfort of knowing that the sticky coke will only go on the floor, not across the dashboard!

Redcab,
Can I assume that the cupholder doesn't interfere with yout right leg? That was my concern with this design - otherwise it looks great - simple and inexpensive. Thanks, Ed
It doesn't interfere w/ my driving at all. I'm 5-8 and have the seat somewhere in the middle of the rails. There is some flexibility where the cupholder gets mounted along the length of your leg. I have it right in the corner of the seat and the transmission tunnel. That adds a bit more stability, and keeps that cold drink very close by for easy access without taking eyes off the road.
