Default CR-220 Cassette radio

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the CR-220 cassette radio requires a code if the battery is disconnected. I will be needing to disconnect the battery to do a steering wheel swap. The head unit has a detachable face but I'm not sure if that's the only theft prevention.

Unfortunately when I bought the car, the previous owner didn't have a radio code card in the owners manual, so I don't know for sure.
