For me, it is religion.....no sense in argueing about it or trying to convert me.
I am not a fan, I am not going to BE a fan and I am no longer a prospective customer..........I like both the P cars I have, but I have bought my last one.

Wow. Did not expect such intensity.
Interesting article, Jim. Tuareg was first place, Lexus second, Acura MDX third, X5 was fourth. And that's the Tuareg, not the Cayenne S nor the Cayenne Turbo. I wonder where the Infinity variant comes in?
If/when my C4S morphs into a pure track car, the Cayenne would make a great mate as a tow vehicle <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

BTW yes, I have driven a Cayenne S for an extended period of time. The dealer I buy my cars from gave it to me for an afternoon to drive around. Again, and this is just my opinion, it was not as quick as an x5 4.4 sport nor did it handle as well. Also, to me it is just not an agressive looking truck and is just so ugly. It looks more like a tall station wagon that just got into a fight and lost badly. A friend of mine who has an X5 was with me and he also felt the same way as I do about the speed, handling etc. Admittedly, this car only had 350 miles and maybe after break-in it will be faster. The X5 is much lighter and although the Cayenne has 340hp, the X5 has 322 ft/lbs of torque. The new X5 with the 330hp engine will be even better. Again, can't wait for comparo, I am not aware of any beiong done as of yet. I definately feel the 4.4 is better than the Cayenne S, but to be fair, if you look at most of the sticker prices of the Cayenne S, they are in 4.6is territory and to me that comparison isn't even close. X5 4.6is 340hp 350lb/ft and much lighter how is it possible that the Cayenne S could be quicker, handle better??

I can answer that, the FX45 would come in first.
It out accelerates all other SUVs except the Turbo Cayenne
It out handles all other SUVs, including the Turbo Cayenne
It out brakes all other SUVs, including the Turbo Cayenne
It uses real aluminum (not aluminum look) for the interior parts
It has leather seating that is so comfortable it reminds you of your favorite barcolounger!
And it costs less than $50K loaded with options you can't get on other SUVs or options that would raise their price still further.
(Reverse Camera in Nav system, 3D View DVD based NAV, Rear LCD Screen with DVD, Wireless Headphones, Laser Guided Cruise Control, AWD System from Nissan Skyline GTR, 20" Wheels and more.
The editors of Excellence magazine said that the Cayenne should have been more like the FX.
