fixed wing warning light
Hey guys,
I havent posted in the 996 forum for a while...
but I have a question you folks are more experience in than the 997 owners regarding the fixed wing.
I got an aftermarket fixed wing and searched here picked up the correct wiring harness and installed but I still get a warning light after 75mph for the rear spoiler.
btw I also removed the spoiler motor in my install, was this a mistake?
The only thing I can think of is having to remove a fuse but I dont see a fuse that is exclusive for the spoiler.
I would like to avoid a trip to the dealer.
Thanks in advance for any help

I am not sure why this harness is not working, it should but seeing how it isnt you need to go to the dealer and have them deactivate the wing in the program... Do you still have the micro switches in?

thanks kilrgt,
I think the 996 might be alittle different...
From what I read here all you guys did with your fixed wings is change the harness and everything was ok...
I was just searching through renntech and Loren did mention the necessity of going to the dealer to reprogram with some special tester in addition to changing the harness.
I guess I will wait til I go to the dealer for some other warranty stuff.
