I am looking to buy some used litronics headlamps for my non-litronics 2004 C2. I may have found some, and they are from a 2001. The pictures look like they are the same as mine, and on the autobahn.com they say that the 2001 has the facelifted headlights, but howcome I usuall y hear on this forum that the facelift is for 2002+ cars? Is one referring to Model Year, the other referring to Production year?

As for the 2001 headlights that I saw for sale that are the new style, maybe they are from a 2001 turbo? Will those fit my 2004 C2?

 

I am told that the wiring harness was changed for the 2004 model year. I wanted to put lightronics on my GT3 and Gert Carnewal told me the retrofit kit needed modifications to work on the 04 996. You could check with him, he is very helpful. gert@CARNEWAL.COM
