Maintaining the 911 is not a big deal. If he likes the 911, tell him to get one. It's a lot more car than the Z, plain and simple. It's ssems the common failure with the 911 may be the RMS as I just got one too, but again it's not a big deal, just an oil leak and a good excuse to go with a light weight flywheel! The Z car would probably cost zero to maintain and never leak oil, but it's not a Porsche. This is a case of you get what you pay for...................... A new 911 is about 3 times the cost of a new Z. Good luck with your search!
