Driver's Door Rattle
It happened again. First it was my 1999 996 C2 coupe, then my 2002 Boxster S, and now my new to me 2001 996TT coupe. There is a rattle in the driver's door that you hear while driving, or even hard closure of the door. Sounds like a spring or loose window or door opener????? Hear it with window up or down. The dealer tries to fix it every time, but to no avail. Either it is less but returns or just never goes away. Any thoughts on a pemanent fix. Thanks

I vaguely recall having a similar problem and it turned out to be from the side view mirror. Once the dealer discovered the source, they tightened something down and the problem was solved. Perhaps this might be your problem too? Then again, perhaps not.
