Post 996TT Vs. 993TT?

I was just curious which car has the better performance say on the 1/4 mile, 0-60 times? I thought that 996 would beat the 993 no problem but then I was on a site www.car-stats.com and it said that the 993 had a faster 1/4 mile and 0-60 time. I know the site is a little off even from the Porsche site but now I am just curious. Thanks.

It is very hard to compare times like that. The tracks could have been at different elevations, different temperatures, different drivers. There are so many factors to consider. On the other hand ,read the post about "being nostalgic and scan happy" one of the articles actually says they also felt the 993 was faster.

996 will blow away a 993 all day long. I have driven both back to back many times. 993 is an awesome car in every way. 996 just happens to be better....

I wonder why the statistics are in favor of the 97 993TT on the site then? That is the last time I will use that site for any comparisons.
