I have heard that shifts can be made faster by keeping your foot in it on up shifts and blipping the throtttle on down shifts.Any one heard of other tricks?

 

It will stay in the gear it is in, even after a WOT acceleration if you lift off the throttle. great for holding a curve that comes up shortly after a launch.

 

But there is no way to keep it in first gear is there??

 

Don, it will step out of first gear, even in manual mode, once you hit the "shift or grenade" rpm point.............I think if you stay under that point it will not shift. I have not pushed gretta to specifically test for this and she is in hibernation right now, so I can't verify this for you....

BTW I bought the strosek headlight covers off od ebay the other day and have plans to get them painted shortly. Thanks for the encouragement. I also ordered the armrest from Bird. Nice guy....

 

Gentlemen:

These Tips can be reprogrammed (just like the engine) that really helps the overall control you have and performance. IMHO, its just as valuable as the engine chip modifications.

 

I would be interested in hearing more. I went to the website and did not find anything regarding reprogramming tiptronic transmissions. Please point me in the right direction.
