Carbon Sill Guards
I am looking at installing carbon sill guards on my 01 996. Does anybody know if the guards fit over the existing plastic "Carrera" mini sill guard that is currently on the sill? If the plastic has to be removed how is this accomplished? Thought I'd ask before getting out the chainsaw.

Remove first. They are attached with 3M double stick tape and will take some care if you want to remove them without distroying them. They are plastic so if you use a heat gun or hair dryer you could melt them. Maybe a plastic scraper and a little heat will work.
