Question Techart Grill Inserts: With or Without?

Can not decide if it looks better with or without the Techart grill inserts. It's a $320 option, and I can't figure out if it's worth it. What's your feeling?

Thanks...

Well, IMHO it depends on what you are planning on doing in the long run. If you get hit with "the bug" you will have a GT-2 face lift in the near future. If you dont plan on changing the front bumper then I would do it. It definetly distinguishes you car from the next, but here in Maryland a 996 tt is rare enough. I doubt you will ever be parked next to another one and also doubt anyone will know who is not a pcar nut like ourselves. The only thing I can say is when you are walking away from you car after you parked it at the far end of the parking lot, will it make you look back 10 more times as your walking away??

sentipede, I like the "split" grille. I think it looks more balanced and less "gaping"

Also, do you have any protection at the bottom of your lip. I have a turbo lip that I have already split on a driveway incline (new one is $230) and was wondering if you had a plate or something along the very bottom...

No protection plate on the bottom lip. Not too many hills in Chicago, but still must be very careful coming in and out of driveways and garages... I know they have a boomerang skid plate for the stock 996. Do they make one for these?

Here's the Boomerange for the 996 Turbo.

Am I missing something? $320 for just the little strips across the outer grill openings? is there a reason why it's not $19.95 with a set of Ginsu knives...?

I had the same reaction as Kent. And anyway, you're talking about the TT front end, does it get better than that?
