BIG Tiptronic Problems
Okay, maybe that leak was transmission fluid, not oil??
This morning I'm about a mile from home and put it in reverse to back up as a tree is in the road that i need a better angle to get around... and the car wont go back in drive. At all.
I got home today and was told a few hours later that it would engage but that there was "definitely a problem." Can't get the car seen at dealer in ATL until Wednesday. Anyone experienced this? Covered by warranty?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike:
Do you have a "Check Engine" light? The Tip will default in reverse if there is a problem.
You might try disconnecting the battery for 3 minutes and reconnecting to see if that helps get you going but the car needs to be scanned with a PST-2, the Factory tool. If the Tip has an ECU fault, this is what they do.
Most definitely, this will be covered by warranty.
