My official hello
I know I've been lurking around for awhile, but I finally got some good pictures of the car and figured it's time to say an official hello.
I'm Mark, 19, from Vancouver, BC and this is my 99 C2 cabrio with 59xxx miles.
Enjoy

Nice ride...I got the same one in black and keep on keeping it clean.....
I remember my first Porsche..it wasn't a 911 but a 924..I was almost 18..and a couple of weeks later I wrapped the P...around a tree!! What I am trying to say......respect you Porsche dude!!! It is a super car and will give you a lot of fun (and girls!!!) but it can also give you a lot of pain (luckily my pain was in my wallet, because I totalled it.
I am almost 40 now and sometimes still can't control myself in the curves!!
Drive hard but safe!! and get to know the car before you pushing the limits....

Yeah same story here pretty much. When I was 19 I nailed a telephone pole with my beautiful '67 912 .
When you are young you think you are invincible, and with a good handling car it can make it worse sometimes.

thanks for the words of wisdom guys, this is my second porsche now, my first was an 00 986S.
however, this is my 14th vehicle and i've got a massive number of miles under my belt considering my age as my job is mostly driving.
the car is beautiful, the only thing it needs is a faceplate for the CDR220 and maybe a bit more cleaning.
cheers guys.
edit- ive also been auto-xing for awhile here, ive done fairly well on our local circuit in my auto-x car, a 93 miata (tailhappy little bastard). i'm looking forward to taking the 996 out on a real track.

MArk - Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm and congrats on getting your P-car. VERY Nice! First mod suggestion.... clear side lights only $32 (US) or $4 million (CAN).

Congrats on the car. I've been a couple of times in Vancouver and love Grandville Island (or whatever it's called).
Good luck keeping it clean with the weather you guys have

Congratulations. The car looks good. I am sure your girlfriend will like the white car with black interior -- it will match whatever outfit she is wearing.

I think I should stress that I wasn't just given this car, I've been working for about 4 years now, starting about a year before I got my license, saving money. Then when I got my license, I began buying and selling cars and never touched the principle, always reinvesting into the next car or two sometimes. My first car was a 92 BMW, not quite as fancy as this but still retains a very special place in my heart. Since that car I've owned over 15 including the motorcycles and have been adding as much money to the principle as I can from my day job. This car I love very much, but is for sale, as were all the previous ones before it.
