Is there a seperate fuse for the luggage compartment light?

The luggage compartment light on my '02 C4S won't come on. All of the other interior lights seem to work (including the engine compartment light), so I'm guessing it's the switch, but I see references on the forums to the fuse for this light - is there a specific fuse somewhere for this, or does it share the same one as the other interior lights?

I tried to look it up for you on wiring diagram, but not absolutely sure. The trace back to fuse looks like same circuit as interior light and door warning light.

Thanks smshirk. That's the conclusion I'd come to as well. From my readings here there seems to be a difinitive switch vs bulb test - i.e. leave the bonnet open and see if the interior lights go out with everything else closed. If they do, then it would seem to have to be the switch. If they stay on, it's something in the bulb circuit. Anyone care to comment on the logic?

I don't think that test will work. In my 2000 Carrera Cab, when I open the driver's side door to pop the hood (bonnet) latch, the interior dome light comes on. When I open the hood the hood light goes on. After about 20 seconds, the interior dome light goes off (with the car doors closed) but the hood light remains on until I close the hood.
Good luck. I hope you find the problem.

Well, I got to the bottom of it in the end. All the tests I did suggested the damn light should work. I'd tested the bulb with a meter - it looked fine and tested fine. Foolishly though, I hadn't tested the voltage across the contacts of the bulb - and when I finally did there's a nice 12v. So, off down the shop, buy a new bulb and voila - it works. So, I still can't see or understand what's wrong with the old bulb, but then again - who cares!
Thanks anyway for the help.
