Post HELP...XM RADIO INSTALL

Has anyone installed an XM receiver in an 02 C2 with the stock Hi Fi Becker CD 220 system. I do not want to replace the head unit. Would just like to run the XM through the FM. Can anyone offer experience with this, do's and don't's.
Thanks for any help.

i installed xm in both my 2001 c4 and my 2003 tt. in the 2002, if you don't want to replace the head unit with an xm ready head unit, all that you have to do is have an xm reciever remotely installed (which would have to be installed with the xm ready head unit anyway) and in addition install a tuner inside of your car, that works thru the fm tuner. the reception will be perfect and the whole shebang, with the antenna, should run around $3-400, and maybe even cheaper with specials. the only problem with this route (not using xm ready head unit) is that your am reception, if you still use it, can be degraded.
