Post Aluminium Gas Cap

Does anyone know the source for a decent quality aluminium/magnesium gas cap to replace the $.50 plastic item from Porsche?

Everytime I fill the car I look down at that sorry piece of plastic crap and ...

Thanks,

Graham

I don't know where you can get such a gas cap, but if you do find one I suggest you make sure it can accept the rubber gasket that's on the Porsche cap or else your "Check Engine" light will be coming on persistently. Just a thought.

You need to be a bit careful here. That cheap plastic cap is part of the OBD II emissions system and a vented cap will trigger a fault code and turn on the Check Engine light. You are looking at making one of those illegal modifications to the emisions system that we so dearly love to do!
