I've been told I can flash my DME with the firmware from a Turbo tiptronic to get the better shift maps on my car, a 99 996 C4 with tip. The cost was supposed to be 750 bucks at a dealer. They had to modify it to say no turbos and then it works. Apparently, the guy says a Boxster S had this done.

Anyone know anything?

 

I'd be surprised only because the standard tip is a ZF unit while the TT transmission is made by Mercedes-Benz, I believe.
