Default Is Compression/Leakdown Test Necessary In Addition to PPI?

I'm looking at an out of warranty 2002 C4 Cab from a used car dealer. 32K miles, 1 owner (leased). I am going to get a PPI at a Porsche dealer. Should I get a compression/leakdown test done too? It's not part of the regular PPI and the service writer doesn't think it's necessary. He thinks any cylinder issues will be apparent from the PPI.

What do you guys think?
