'99 C2 with 69k. Bought with 52k 2-1/2 yrs ago. Had 60k service done at that time. Alternator quit two months after I bought it, but other than that, just typical stuff (tires, oil, etc.)

Question

OK, is it just me or do most of these higher mileage cars have (or just seem to have) fewer / less serious problems and higher reliability?

I know my 03 C4S, 28k miles, was extremely reliable.

Without real data from Porsche we'll never know.

My '99 996, just bought last week 43,000 miles, with 12,000 on new engine, it had RMS a few months after new engine, and not leaking now. It needs brakes now.
My '03 Boxster almost 15,000 miles and never a mechanical problem other than belt tensioner.
