Post Turbo upgrade?

Have any of you had the opportunity to drive a 911 turbo and if so, is the performance enhancement significant enough to justify the significant price differential between the turbo and a C4? ($60-70k over a trade in of a '99 C4 - $30+ over a well equipped new C4S).

I love my '99 C4 - and while the C4S is an improvement, I've decided its not enough of an improvement to justify the killing I'd take on a trade in of my car (I'd buy a C4S in a heartbeat if I were buying a new porsche today without a trade-in issue). However, the turbo could be a different matter. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to drive one - they are rarely at the local dealers - unsold (though I have a line on a late model used one now and I may get to take it on a test drive).

Interested in any perspectives.

Thanks

If you can get a 996 tt then I would get one. Haven test driven both mannys and tips awesome "seat of your pants" trq but dependent what kind of driving you plan to do. If you got alot of open roads and do a few De evnts ayear the TT is an awesome car to have. if a daily driver and bumper to bumper commute the C4S is suitable enough. IMo the differnce in power is nite/day with respect to non-turbo and turbo. I like the styling as well with the C4S but I have a problem(just me) that a regular '02 c2 coupe has equal to better perfomance which I can't justify getting one at this time which maybe down the line if they ever make a C2S version(lighter weight) then mite get that one but if not the turbo is my next choice. Choices, choices. Good luck. Mike
