Default Question to GT3 Wing

Hi Folks

I just bought a GT3 Wing. The guy who sold it told me that he recommends to buy also the "Air Intake" seen on the picture below.

He told me with this thing performance could be raised up to 15%. Is that true? I coulnd't find some information about that so far..

First time I have ever seen that, It looks pretty cool, not sure about 15% increase. Maybe he meant to say 15% more air getting into the engine bay

You should post this on the GT2/GT3 forum so they can chime in.

Thats similar to the scoop that comes on the GT3 rs street car. Its supposed to create a ram air effect with slight power increase at speeds over 120mph.

that's only when you use the motorsport intake. i am getting it too, not for the ram air but for better cooling.

motorsport intake

Not necessarily. The part and benefit claim is from the GT3rs street car that has the same intake as the standard GT3. Regardless of the intake used, the power benefit is hard to prove since its only seen at higher speeds.

My understanding is that the motorsport intake is not only expensive, but difficult to adapt to a street car since there is no provision for the MAF. The rear decklid is also different than the street car, so modification/replacement is also required to make the motorsport intake function as intended.
