Post CDR 23

where on earth is the security code for the CDR23 found?

i have looked through my manuals and it is not there!

also, does anyone know what the dynamics "DYN" setting does?

"GAL" is meant to increase the volume at higher speeds.

does "DYN" do this as well?

thanks

Can't help with the code, but here's the manual. I think some of the settings depend in whether you have Bose or Hi-fi

From the TSB:

"Vehicle Type: 911 Carrera (996)/911 Carrera 4 (996)/911 GT3 (996)

Model Year: 2003 (3)

Concerns: Security Code-card deleted for radio CDR23 and PCM2.

Information: As from model '03 (3), the security code-card is no longer necessary. It has been deleted because the radio or PCM communicates to the vehicle electronics to determine if it should operate. This affects all vehicles which are delivered with the radio CDR23 or PCM2 equipment. Further information can be found in the Technical Manual Repair and the Service Information Technik, Model 2003."

Hey Loren can I use the cdr 23 in my 99, IF and since I am only going to use rca outs to my external amp and use it to control a stock changer? I know it has that can bus, but That I was told is only to interface with the amp etc. And since I am going to use an external with rca's then that shouldn't be an issue. The only issues left are the connectors, which appear to be the same I have a pic and will include it. Please let me know I can get this deck for cheap! what do you think?
