Seth - nice looking floor, and if anyone else is interested in a group buy I wouldn't mind at least getting a quote. Since you're just up the road from us, maybe we could stop by one day and check it out if you don't mind.

I used Rustoleum Epoxyshield industrial floor coating (solvent based, not water based) item # 203373
in silver gray last June, and it has held up extremely well. I'm very satisfied iwth the product. No signs of wear. It is very smooth and easy to apply -- just mix the two parts together and paint on with a roller after the initial prep (ttok me about 1 hr after the prep, which was about 1.5 hours). I bought one kit (2 gallons) for a two car garage and it was just enough. Over bare concrete you'll probably need to kits @ $90/kit.

I want to pitch my .02 in here about the paint.
I had my floors painted for approximatly 10 years. I used the 2 part epoxy garage floor stuff from both Lowes and Home Depot in that time.
They wore ok, didn't pull up etc. But they got dirty from repeated use. I had to repaint every 3 to 4 years to keep it looking nice. It took about 3 gallons to do my garage. And the last time I went to get paint and the price had jumped to 68 a gallon I said "Wait a min".
That is when I went with a more "permenant" solution. The VCT tile cost (as I said above) around $500 for everything. ANd so far they do not show a need for replacement. They clean up just fine and all you need to do to refresh them is strip them and then re-wax.
That is my experience. Just wanted to pass it on.

Tim - do you have a brand name or product name for the tiles? I was browsing the Home Depot website and couldn't find what you described.

Here you go.
Go to the store and you can get a full compliment of colors. Obviously it had to be ordered.

Bringing up a thread from the WAY BACK machine
I have since moved and have not had a chance to tile my current floors. But what I DID do way use an oil based gray floor paint that was cheap and has worn VERY well over the past 4 years. It is like what they use on navy ships I think (smells the same). $18 a gallon at Lowes. But took a few days to dry (only downer).
I will add that the person that was in my house with the VCT NEVER maintained it and although it looks better than most "regular" garages......it sucks from an enthusiast point of view. A good seal and polish every few years keeps it perfect.
Ok, discuss AND post more pictures of cool garages
