It's coming...
My boyhood dreams are, with any luck, mere weeks away from coming true 
I knew this computer nerd thing would pay off one day. I'm hoping that some time next month, I will be firmly planted in the driver's seat of my first 911.
My dad (Mike Maurer) is quite a Porsche guru, so I have one of the best resources in the world to draw on. That said, he no longer works in the Porsche world, so I'm hopeful someone here can give me some pointers. Nothing in particular I see a '99-'01 996 in my future.
Also, I live in the D.C metro area, and it seems like a high percentage of rennlist members are in the area (I wonder, is that how I originally heard about the site oh-so-long ago?). Do you guys ever get together? If you guys don't mind me bringing along a limping 6 series, I'd love to join in.
