Post Have squeak while turning left slowly

I have noticed a squeak much like brake squeal when I turn left(not right) like in a parking garage but no squeal at higher speeds. What you think? It's a bit@#$h to drive in San Francisco-has something to do with wear and tear?. Regards. Mike

I'd start by checking my steering fluid level (in the engine compartment).

Mike, have you tapped your brake to see if it affects the squeak? It's not uncommon to have a brake pad drag a bit when everything is hot and the slight flex caused by turning can be enough to create contact and a squeak. If tapping your brake stops the sound, you have a pretty good clue.

This is pretty common at the track. How fast are you circling the parking ramp?

Loren-I checked the fluid level and it's below the cold mark so that seems fine. JimB- I do have Pagid S pads on but would be difficult to differentiate whne tapping the brakes because it squeaks also and I'm going around the parking lot at less then 5mph. At regular normal city/highway speeds no such squeaking. I didn't try the tapping yet but will do so and see if it's the brakes itself. Thanks. Mike
