Not necessarily driving it, but going out to the garage at night and just looking at the curve of those wide body rear fenders. How close to sex can a car get?

I'm in Ireland right now, back home for Christmas, and once in a (very long) while I see a Porsche and ogle it like I always have - then think HOLY ****! I have one of those at home! So apart from the joy of driving it, and looking at it, I definitely get pleasure from the knowledge that I own it.

I grew up in Woodland Hills, CA. Once in a while a 911 would go by when I was playing in the street and I was mezmorized by the look. Later in 1977, I got a ride in a green 2 year old 911 shortly after moving to CT. I watched the driver start the car and marveled at the key placement and sound from the rear of the car...........The driver was a distant family member and I just sat there dumbfounded as this 20 year old guy shows me what his dad's car can do around some back roads of New Canaan, CT during the fall. Of course the Targa top was removed so when I think of this experience I can still smell that earthy smell of the leaves mixed with the raw smell of the engine that the heating system produced. I swore to myself I would buy a piece of this earthly magic some day. Happy New Year to those who have had the dream, and made it happen without compromising anything=CHEERS!
