Default 996 Performance Figures

I am curious for those with G-Tech meters and similar instruments to measure performance runs, what times are you getting for 0-60 runs and 1/4 mile times? Just for reference only.

I trully love my 996 but it does "feel" slower than the 944 turbo S I used to have prior. Granted, I had no cat converter and a ECU chip in that car so it certainly was not stock.

I wonder if its just the lack of the turbo boost nudge in the back that gives this sensation or if the 996 is that much more refined where you dont feel the speed? Anyone else go from a 951S to a 996? The 2 cars are worlds apart in terms of refinement no question and do I wish I still had my 951S, NO........

I was actually pleasantly suprised with the feeling of torque/speed
of the 996 coming from a 2500lb/370 whp 951. I knew it wouldn't have the raw torque I was used to, but I was quite suprised at the straight line speeds I saw at the track. It's a somewhat high-speed course (roval) and the top end speeds I saw in the 996 were maybe 5 mph less than what I saw typically in the 951. The 951 had DOT R compound 255's all around and the 996 has the stock 17" 205/255 combo with street tires. I'd say Porsche aerodynamics have come a long way since 1985.
