996 coupe spoilers
I am currently updating the look of my 2000 C4 coupe, and was looking at several options for the rear spoiler. I have seen quite a few options on the web, but none in person. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.....

pete01_996: I also like the Ruf RGT spoiler, but I'm afraid it may be too large and loud for a narrowbody. I would really like to have the opportunity to see it in person, so tell me how it looks if you get it.
Cmoss: The 996TT decklid is slightly wider than that of the 996. Unless there is a custum fabricated aftermarket version, it would be near impossible to match.
Myk: Personally, I like the look of the TT wing the most, but I'm afraid I may give the impression that I am posing as a TT.
Tough decision....does anyone have pictures of the new factory aerokit II spoiler?
Thanks......

MASHAW makes the Turbo wing for the standard body 996. The link is as followed www.mashaw.com
click on Porsche 911 and follow the page half way down and there it is for $1575.00

In my opinion the RGT wing takes the cake, although I am known as a bit of an extremist. Does the silver RGT wing fit a narrow body trunk lid?? I have a wide body and would be curious to know how the wide stanced wing would look on mine. Presesently I have a Gembella wing type...??? A big thing with vents. If you want to see it was posted by a friend under his name. The thread date was Jan 29th 2003 1729 hrs. Check it out tell me what you think.
As for the Turbo wing from Mashaw. I think it looks not so good on a Cab. It does look great on a coupe, but unfortunately I believe the wing to be in a fixed position. And as for the fit, who knows with aftermarket products. The fit of my 3500 Gembella wing was crap. An overpriced ornament if you ask me. It does look great though asthetically.

The Ruf RGT spoiler shown is on a narrow body 996. It isn't a full decklid replacement, rather a replacement piece of the electric portion of the factory spoiler (grill).

That Silver RGT is a CDN car. I believe that the guy that owns that is Asian. I've seen him cruiseing around Vancouver when I lived there. And I thought I was the only Canadian that had a tricked out 996 Cab. I'm jealous now. hahaha
Really that wing is AMAZING. where do you get it and does it fit a 996. I want it I want it I want it.
Sentipede: I that your car with the BC plates??

That is not my car, I found the pictures on the web. The spoiler and bumper are Ruf products and can be purchased from Weissach in Vancouver. Call them and ask for Asgar in the parts department, he was very helpful.
