Post Ordered C4S

Well, this past week I decided to trade in my '95 C2 cabriolet for a '03 C4S. The car is coming in January and it is seal gray with a graphite gray interior. The options include: heated seats, supple leather, aluminum stick shift/parking break, upgraded Bose sound, litronic headlights, and color wheelcaps.

Does anyone have any seal gray C4S pics they can post? I am looking forward to joining the 996 board.

Welcome to the 996 board. If you're selling your 993 privately, you may not be aware of the infamous wiring harness problem that has cropped up. If you're trading it in, no problem.

I did the exact opposite of you. I had a 98 993CS 6spd, Dark Blue...and traded it for an 02 996 Cab. Even tho I was a huge fan of the 993, especially my 98 which had an aerokit, was lowered and with tinted glass, I thoroughly enjoy my 996. Saw your pics of your 993 Cab. Nice ride.

My 98 993 (sorry, no pics of a seal Gray C4S)

Great choice! Seal Grey on a C4S is the best color...but then I am biased Check out the link below for my photo album. It should give a good view of the color in all types of light.

Thanks for the replies. I am trading the 993 in, and the wiring harness was fixed several years ago.

The pictures are sweet A4EP. The difficult part now is waiting. I test drove a new C4S this past week in Dallas, and it was an incredible experience. I love my 993, but I think I will like the C4S better.

I actually would have done the deal in Dallas, but they tried to rip me on the trade. I called another dealer in Tulsa, and they offered me a great deal. I will be driving up there over Thanksgiving, and they are going to put my car out for sale to see if they can bring more money than the trade in they offered me (I can't lose either way). They are also discounting the C4S. Definitely a great deal.

The only option I wasn't sure about was sport seats, but since this car will be a daily driver, I thought the regular supple seats would be more comfortable. The interior is graphite gray and it has an aluminum handbrake and stick shift. Should I have the dealer take off the colored wheel crests when the car comes? The car was already coming in January, and if I would have placed an order for the car, I would not have picked the wheel crests. I think the car looks great without them, especially with the seal gray exterior.

I drove a boxster two months ago when I had my 993 in for service, and I wasn't really sure about what a 996 would be like. But after driving one, I would say that it is a superior car. My 993 does have a unique feel, but I think this new car is an improvement in every way.

Now I just have to wait...

I would say go with the standard C4S wheel caps, they are original and unique only to the C4S plus they really do look good with the Seal Grey.
