Dubai Update
Well here i am with Fadz(996) in dubai enjoying a cooooooooool weather..
His CS4 is pretty well alive and kicking! I can notice the difference now between my own C2 and the CS4.. It's defenitely much more built and a bit more muscular. The engine sounds a bit more on the lower accoustic range, and the BOSE, my GOd! the Bose is incredible!! What a smooth bass.. the louder the better. My own Blaupunkt mod is maybe louder but it's got a more 'metal' feel.. the BOSE feels like you're in there!
The brakes and suspension of the CS4 really make a difference. I cannot beleive hom much this car can hold on corners without losing grip.. Fadi was taking exits at 3rd gear 6.6k rpm's and the car was screaming for more! It did lose once but PSM adjusted the situation in no time.
Here's the GTEch Pro results after a few runs:
- best 0-60 was 5.13 sec.. surely PSM should be off otherwise it doesnt work.. it is very funny how the mere shifting, clutching, rpm monitoring can reduce the figure!
- 1/4 mile was 14sec at some 85mph but we didnt have time to try better coz the clutch was already frying due to 0-60 runs!
- lateral accelaration reached 0.9g.. is this right??
We got flashed two times already but managed to clock 280 (!) along abu-dhabi road! That'll be about $100 equivalent in overspeed bills, but it was worth it!! One thing i noticed is that the accelaration of the CS4 at high speeds is much better than the C2 i got, it takes less roadway to add every 1km to the speedo after 270kph..
Well, i guess testing period is over. We'll be good boys from now and just enjoy the sceneries here, wish everybody was here.. i can tell you, DUBAI ROCKS!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Thanks Guys and Rob: 'PM me, i'll tell you why my bio-clock is turning upside down!'
Seriously,it's a great country here, we call it 'the barbie city'.. I'll post more but Fadz is calling me for work! Confession to the rennlisters: 'i might be moving to UAE in the next coming months and that's what we're working on actually. The only bad consequences here are that i'll be losing my 996 in Lagos. Bilstein, I know the feeling now!

OK, next is my 993 run this afternoon. I'll let you know what what my feeling are towards we 996'ers losing/gaining compared to having a 993.
