For those Mac addicts out there, I received this reply from Autoenginuity some months back. Have not gotten around to attempting it, yet:

Q: Do you have any knowledge of someone using your scanner with an
Apple MAC running Virtual PC to emulate Windows XP Pro?

A: Yes, you can using 7.0 or later of Virtual PC and a USB to serial adaptor.
